Welcome, I’m Christina the creator of stitched by hearts! I hope to help you explore your inner creativity. I am a wife, mom, avid book lover, and lover of all things crafty.
Think of me as your new crafting bestie, that inspires and encourages you every step of the way.
Stitched By Hearts is an embroidery, crafty DIY & lifestyle blog. It features beginner embroidery tutorials, unique craft ideas, simple sewing projects, upcycling ideas, free printable patterns & much more.
It’s more than just a stitching blog- it’s a place where you can come to relax, take a step back for everyday life and learn a new hobby or craft. I believe that change unleashes anyone’s creative energy with the right tools, resources, and a little creativity. Handmade items/crafts are my favorite, it’s the attention to little details that makes each project unique. Therefore, I’m a bit obsessed with all things hand embroidered.
I meet my husband 13 years ago, at a long-term care home where we both work as HCA(Home Care Aid). Our blended family consists of four beautiful children. By day I work as an HCA and by night I juggle being a wife, mother, and blogging late into the night (a little too late) most nights.
I dabbled in blogging in early 2020, not really knowing where I was going with it. I knew I wanted to share my many creative passions with the world. After the devastating loss of my daughter in 2017, I realize that life is too short and that sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith. It has helped give me purpose, vision, and an outlet to channel my thoughts, and energy. Also gives me hope for the future, it’s a coping mechanism, that helps tremendously with anxiety and with my mental health. Basically keeps me focused and (somewhat) sane.
Shortly after this devastating loss, our family was blessed with a handsome little boy who is now 4. He brings so much joy, love, and laughter to our lives and is the perfect match for us.
